Frequently Asked Questions regarding our Tea Appreciation Workshops

+What is the duration of the Tea Appreciation Workshop?
The tea appreciation workshop lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Depending on which package you pick, (we have 4 types of hands-on tea, as well as 6 types of hands-on tea, with and without food options), the total duration may last anywhere between 1.5 hours to 2 hours.
+What is your seating capacity?
We can take a maximum of 35 people. If your group is larger than that, you may choose to come in batches instead of all at once. Alternatively, we do conduct outdoor workshops and can do so at your premises.
+Is there a minimum number of people you need before conducting a workshop?
Ideally, we need a minimum of 2 persons before we conduct a workshop. However, if you come alone, we are happy to conduct a workshop for you for the price of 2 persons. If you choose to have only the tea appreciation workshop, your cost will be $110.00. If you book the workshop with food, the cost will be $122.00. For the 2nd package (6 teas option), the cost for conducting a workshop for 1 person will be $150.00 and with food, it will cost $162.00.
+I have some Dietary Restrictions. Can the items on the menu be changed?
Yes. Do let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, whether you are vegetarian, allergic to seafood, can’t take pork etc, and we will do our best to arrange a menu that is suitable for you.
+Do you conduct outdoor Workshops?
Yes we do. Please contact us via e-mail hello@yixingxuan-teahouse.com or call us at +65 6224-6961 for a quote. The quote will depend on various things; the number of people, the duration, whether a full workshop is required, etc. We can also customise something to suit your needs and budget. For example, we have conducted workshops and included some fun games related to tea for our corporate events before.
+Is the workshop conducted in English or Mandarin?
The workshop can be conducted in either English or Mandarin.
+Are there are any additional charges other than the prices stated on the website?
No, the prices stated on our website are nett charges. There is no additional service charge, GST etc.
+Is this workshop suitable for kids?
Yes it is. The youngest group we’ve ever had was from a Kindergarten and they were 5 years old. We simplify the words used so that young children will be able to understand. In any case, we give workshops to our Primary (Elementary) school children all the time. Also, the cups used are small enough that young children are able to handle them.
+Is the place accessible/wheelchair friendly?
We are located along the main road and you may drop off and pick up from here. There is a car park nearby on Duxton Hill which is less than 5 minutes walk away from our Teahouse. There aren’t any steps to climb in our Teahouse so no problems there.
+Do you do corporate events?
